Our Freedoms and Liberties

I’m running for the state Assembly to fight for Life, Liberty and Happiness as our Founding Fathers outlined.

The reality is government, state and federal, has taken too much power and freedom from the working people.  While the elites in Madison and Washington, DC profit and flaunt the very rules they place on us, the average Wisconsin family has suffered due to the government’s mandates and control.

It’s time, We The People restore and secure our rights and freedoms.  I’ll work to be your voice in Madison, and I’ll fight to keep government overreach from taking away our freedoms.

Deep Roots in the Community

My family’s history runs deep in the 6th Assembly District.  The Schmidt Farm has been in my family since 1950's, and was expanded in 1970’s and again in the 1990’s.  I’m a co-owner and operator of the farm, which has 1600 head of dairy cattle as well as forages.  We’ve worked hard, and we’ve created literally hundreds of jobs over the years which has contributed to the area’s economic vitality.

Commitment to Serve

I have a passion for public service and working to help others.  As a former Shawano County Board Member, I worked to improve our tourism appeal by streamlining ATV rules, refinance bonds to save taxpayers money, upgrade our 911 system and jail security, and closed loop holes that protect our youth from harmful e-Nicotine devices.

Giving back to the community runs in the family … my grandfather, August Schmidt, was Hartland town chairman in the 1970’s, and my father Paul served on various boards at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Bonduel.  I graduated from St. Paul’s in 2006, and earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Join our cause! Help preserve our God-Given Rights: Life, Liberty, & Happiness. Thank you and God Bless Wisconsin.
